Happy Sunday run day for anyone out training today!

This is my day off so I had a lovely sleep in and am attempting to slowly ingest enough caffeine to be productive today.

I just wanted to send a huge shout-out to all of the UofC Marathoners who are running the Maui Marathon today! It’s currently 8:30 a.m. in Maui (about 12:30 p.m. here) and our runners will have been on the course for about 3.5 hours now. The race started at 5 a.m. Maui time in order to beat some of that Hawaii heat. I can’t say I am disappointed to be missing out on that obscenely early start time. I am not a morning person.

I know this day totally snuck up on me so I can’t imagine how they are feeling. Hopefully it’s great! I am quietly cheering them on from Calgary and can’t wait to hear how they all did. I know there is at least one runner who is doing their first marathon this morning (Go Linda!!).
